Welcome to China!

Even though I've been in China for almost three weeks now (!) my internet has been spotty to the point that I can just now make my first blog post.

First things first- A little set up for who I am and why I'm here.

That's me! I'm 19, in my freshman year at the University of Utah, majoring in Political Science and Economics.

I am here with the organization International Language Programs. (http://www.ilp.org/)             I teach English for twenty hours a week and get to spend the rest of my time adventuring.

I'm living in Quanzhou, pronounced twin-joe, on the southern coast.

Hopefully by the end of my time interning here I will have a better grasp on Chinese language and culture, and a global perspective on education.
